For those individuals or organizations seeking private tours of the Monterey Pass Battlefield, we do have trained staff that can conduct tours. The standard guided tour is about two to two and a half hours long. Individuals or groups may hire a guide for longer periods of time, or for specialty tours based around specific information tailored to suit your individual needs.

Please contact John A. Miller for more information. Tours are held rain or shine unless the threat of severe weather is immediate. A twenty-four cancellation noticed is required if your group is unable to participate. All Monterey Pass Battlefield tours will meet at the Monterey Pass Battlefield Park located along Route 16/BuchananTrail.

2.5-hour group rate for a tour of Monterey Pass, including trip to Leitersburg or High Rock Overlook

• $70.00 1-6 people per group
• $80.00 7-15 people per group
• $125 15 people or more. (Bus Rate)

3.5-hour group rate for a tour of Monterey Pass, including side trips to Leitersburg and Smithsburg

• $80.00 1-6 people per group
• $90.00 7-15 people per group
• $150 15 people or more ( Bus Rate)

Day Rate Specialty Tour 5 hour group tour rate (Includes the sites of Monterey Pass, Leitersburg, Smithsburg, Boonsboro, Funkstown and Williamsport)

• $250 1-10 people per group
• $350 11+ people per group
